In addition, KCAP played an instrumental role in helping us secure a major project grant with the City of Galesburg. Without their guidance and partnership, the successful launch of our second Galesburg plant and the expansion of our current plant would not have been possible.

Sometimes it can be easy to take for granted just how special Galesburg is for those of who live and work here, but I am struck constantly by the vibrant, innovative, and creative nature of our community. Few communities our size can boast the robust performing and creative arts culture we have in Galesburg or the range and quality of independent businesses bringing truly unique concepts, opportunities, and experiences to our town. Specifically, and in regard to my corner of the community, I am blown away by the incredible food scene we have in Galesburg. I am hard-pressed to think of similar communities who can boast a full-service independent natural foods grocer and a gourmet specialty shop, multiple outstanding international cuisines represented in our vibrant restaurant community, multiple artisan breweries, and such a wide variety of small-batch local bakers, makers, and food creators.

Galesburg is a community that punches above its weight class consistently. We should be so proud of our dynamic and vibrant performing and creative arts culture, our demonstrated success as an incubator for innovative small businesses, our incredibly impressive culinary community, and so much more. Galesburg is definitely not your average small Midwestern town — in the best possible ways.
